XV Daye of December Anno Domini 1613

In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Beacham of Cosgrave in the County of Northampton yeoman being sicke in bodie but thanks be god of perfect memory Imprimis I Commend my soule to Almightie god my maker and Redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the parishe Churche or Churchyards of Cosgrave aforesaide Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Edward all my lands and Close called by the name of Backe Baynes within the ffeildes and parishes of Cosgrave ffurthoe and East Perry which I purchased of John Goodman Ellis Emerson and John Whitmeale to him and his heires for ever giving and paying to my sonne Richard one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England within five yeares after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Thomas mu howes and Coppie houlde lande in Downecham in the Isle of Eely in the County of Caimbridge Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret my howse in Wolverton in the County of Buckingham which I purchased of my brother Robert Beacham and three score and tenne pounds whereof fortie poundes at the daie of her marriage or (-) tenne daies after and the other thirtie poundes at the age of twentie and one yeares Item I give and bequeath to my sonne John Beacham my eatate right ttytle and interest in my howse in Sysam [Syresham?] with the appurtenances or els fower score poundses of good and lawfull money Item I give and bequeath unto Anthony Mugate [Millgate] of Wolverton and Richard Windmill of the same vis viiid betwixt them that is to either of them iiis iiiid Item I give to my sonne Edward three Garners with all hovill posts and tymber belonging to them with tables and seates? in the howes with all boardes and tymber belonging for building with all pales and hedge mended Item I give to eache of my godchildren xiid And to Joane ffrenche xiid And to Joane Mor xiid Item I ordaine that if any of my fower younger Children departe this naturall life before the abovesaide portions or legasies to them by me bequeathed be due and payable to remaine to the proper use and behoof of the other that remaine liveinge Item I give to my sonne Edward my worser Cart one plough one harrowe and my browne geldeing which I bought of Richard Emerson and one red heiffer Item I appoint my sonne Edward to Enter upon that one halfe of lande and howseing which was my fathers parte at the next fallowe paying the rent due to my ffather at St. Thomas daye come (xii months) and till then my wife to pay it My Legacies performed my debts paid my ffunerall expences discharged All my other goods moveable and unmoveable unbequeathed I give to Dorothie my wife whom I make and appoint my sole Executrix of this my last will and testament I ordaine and appoint (…..) of Thrupp and my brother Christopher Overseers of this my will And for their paines I give (both?) of them iis In witness hereof I have sett my hande and seale the daie and yeare first above written
