Richard Sharp 1701

In the Name of God Amen I Richard Sharp of Cosgrave in the County of Northampton Labourer This sixteenth day of October Anno Dim One thousand and six hundred ninety iv being weak in body yet of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be God therefore And calling to mind the uncertainty of this life causeth me to make this my last will and Testament thereby to set my house in order First I commend my Soul to God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buryed by my Executrix hereafter named And as touching all such worldly goods as God in mercy hath been pleased to bestow upon me I give and bequeath as followeth Imprimis I give and devise unto my Brother James Sharp of Towceste rin the County of Northampton Yeoman and Mary his wife each of them five shillings of lawfull money of England within six moneths after my decease and to his two daughters Ann and Mary Sharp the summe of five shillings a piece to be paid unto each of them six moneths after my decease Item I give and devise unto my brother Benjamin Sharp of Towcester aforesaid Yeoman and unto Susanna his wife each of them five shillings and unto their Sons Samuel and Benjamin Sharp each of them five shillings of currant English money to be paid unto them and every of them by my Executrix hereafter named out of my goods chattles and ready moneys six moneths after my decease And unto my Brother Benjamins two daughters Elizabeth and Mary the summe of five shillings apiece of like lawfull money of England to be paid unto them and each of them six moneths after my decease as abovesaid Item I give and devise unto John Sharp of Towcester aforesaid the five pounds that he had in his occupation severall years past And my part ot moiety of my Close lying and being at Woodend in the parish of Blaksley and County of Northampton aforesaid in the occupation of Robert Tuckers to him and his heirs for ever All the rest and residue of all my goods chattles and ready money whatsoever as well in Cosgrave aforesaid or elsewhere within the Kingdom of England unbequeathed I give and devise unto Mary Sharp my loving Wife and at her disposing for ever whom I do hereby make nominate and appoint Executrix of this my last will and Testament making void all former Wills by me heretofore made and do hereby publish and declare this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written Rich Sharp his marke Sealed and published with the common Stamp hereupon fixt in the presence of Edmd Mansell John Paratt Tho: Kent
